Oral presentations

Oral presentations are held in parallel sessions in Grand Union Hall on the ground floor, and Glass Hall 1 and Glass Hall 2 on the first floor. Information about the location of individual parallel sessions is included in the congress programme. You can also consult the floor plan of the hotel.

A parallel session consists of 2-4 conceptually linked papers. Each presenter has 20 minutes to present his/her work, followed by 5 minutes for questions and discussion. The audience is encouraged to contribute to the discussion with questions. Presenters will be reminded about the time by session chairs 5, 1 and 0 minutes before the end of their presentation. Information about session chairs is available in the congress programme and in the mobile app.

For the presenter
Please be on time for your presentation. Make sure you are present at least 10 minutes before the session starts, to upload your presentation on the computer. We suggest that you use the provided computer equipment, because switching between computers (e. g. using your own private laptop) will take up precious time from your presentation, and can possibly cause delays. We strongly encourage you to save your presentations also in PDF format to avoid any presentation flaws of the content, especially if presenting on a different computer.

Software demonstrations

Software demonstration will be held in Glass Hall 2 on the first floor on Thursday, July 19, from 16:00-17:00.

Each presenter will be assigned to a different desk to show the software consecutively to participants who will circle around the room and ask questions. The presenters are expected to bring their own computers (WLAN connection will be provided). However, a laptop and/or additional computer monitor can also be sourced locally (at a cost). Please contact us for more information.

Poster presentations

Poster session will be held in Grand Union Hall on the ground floor on Thursday, 19 July, from 16:00-17:00.

The required poster format is A0 (portrait page orientation). The presenters should print their posters beforehand, bring them to the conference and turn them in at registration. In case you need to print out your poster in Ljubljana,  contact us for more information.
